The disk is write-protected.
It's the most common error message that Windows users will see, and it can be caused by a variety of things. In this video I'm going to show you the easiest way to remove write protection so you don't have this problem again!

This is Ramesh and welcome to easy classes in this video.
I want to show you if your device is write protected and if you are unable to write
anything on your disk, then this is the right way here for you.
I'm going to show you a simple step to fix this error.
Let's get started.
00:24 As you can see here, this is my disk.
If I'm trying to format this disk,
see, I'm getting the same error.
The disk is write productive.
Also, I'm unable to copy any files into this.
So in this case this video helps you to fix this easily.
00:41 Okay, now go to the window search bar and search for Registry editor.
In the best match result you will find Registry editor.
Click on that. Now go to the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.
Double click on that and find system.
Double click on that and now find current control set.
Open that and finally you will find the control option under current control set.
Double click on that.
01:06 Now we need to try to find the storage device policies.
Let me scroll down.
Guys, I'm not seeing the storage device policies here.
In such cases.
Don't worry, we can create it to create that.
Scroll up and select CTRL and next go to edit and new and hit on key.
Now scroll down again.
A new key hash one has been created.
01:32 Right click on that and Select Rename and type storage device policies.
The first letter S is capital
and the first letter is capital and policies is the capital.
So like this you have to write and press enter.
So now we have created new key the storage device policies.
So select that and come to right and in the empty space right click and select new and select D word 32 bit value. Click on that.
Now you need to rename it for write project.
So W is capital and P is capital.
So once you've done press enter.
02:15 Now we have created a new value.
Right click on that and modify.
Now the value data is zero.
Make it zero only.
So if you select it one so it will be create the same error.
So now change it to zero and press OK, that's it.
Let me try to format my disk.

Now let me copy a file here.
As you can see, I am able to copy any files.
