In this GoPro Tips and Tricks video I answer a very common question I receive. What are the .LRV and .THM files for and do I need them?
.THM = Thumbnail - this is a .jpg image with a different extinction it is used by the GoPro app to display a thumbnail preview of your video
.LRV = Low Resolution Video - This file is used by the GoPro App. When you watch video back on your phone or tablet via the GoPro App it is this file which is played.
