These two respiratory emergencies are extremely common in EMS care. As an EMT you will learn to recognize these two respiratory emergencies. As a Paramedic you will more medications and treatments to assist the patient in respiratory distress or respiratory failure.
The first step at getting better in EMS education is recalling the hallmark signs and symptoms for major emergencies and chronic diseases. This way the NREMT questions will become easier AND when seeing different emergencies out in the field, you provide better patient care.
