Common French Phrases for Conversation about direction:
French: Est-ce que c’est près d’ici?
English: Is it near from here?
French: Est-ce que c’est loin d’ici?
English: Is it far from here?
French: Est-ce que je peux y aller à pied?
English: Can I walk to get there?
Traverser la rue, la route: Cross the street, the road.
Prendre à droite, à gauche: Turn to the right, to the left.
Tournez à droite, à gauche: Turn to the right, to the left. Please note that prendre and tourner have the same meaning in these sentences
Continuer tout droit: Go straight.
Suivre le parcours: Follow the path.
