Holiday Travel Guide Transcript:
Glistening with Over 6.5 Million Lights,
Silver Dollar City in Branson, Missouri has tons
of things to do and see during their Old Time Christmas season!

And with these tons of things to do, I thought it'd be best
to create a quick video guide of all the things to do in Silver Dollar City broken up into 5 sections, which are the Christmas lights, including the light parade and Christmas in Midtown, and the EIGHT story Christmas tree. The Broadway style shows, Dining options (including hot chocolate, cinnamon bread, and caramel apples), The roller coaster rides of course, and the over 60 unique shops filled with goodies! I'll include some insider bonus tips scattered throughout my video guide.
First, the Christmas lights. There are lights covering nearly every inch of the park and over 1,000 decorated trees! It's delightful if all you do it walk through all the lights! Trees, shops, rides, all glistening with lights. I just wonder who was the poor person was who actually counted all 6.5 million lights!
The light parade is a classic and something you can't miss. Literally, you can't miss it because when it's going down the street, you're locked at whatever spot you're at because you can't cross the street. But that's ok, it's fun to watch all the floats and costumed characters like candy canes and marching wooden soldiers, oh, Santa and Mrs. Claus. To know you're where the parade goes, you'll see everyone lining up along the white lines and the snowflakes on the ground. This is usually around 6pm and 8pm every night.

Now the bright spot of the lights with the best photo ops for Instagram
or the family photo book, "Christmas in Midtown" is a can't miss.. partly because it's right in the middle of the park. This debuted in 2017 it's located behind Main Street.

Next is the EIGHT story Christmas tree! Lit every night at 5:30pm,
it's a musical light show that is amazing. It's fun!
It's performed every 15 minutes

Next is the Broadway style shows!
There's also other shows you can watch as well that are shorter but still a good stop.

There are MANY food options available, and I'd say the ones I've tried, I'd
recommend nearly any option. The food is very good, especially after all the walking you'll be doing around the park.
Which also brings me to a quick tip! Is to bring good shoes. There are also maps placed all around the park.
Now to my favorite, all the amusement rides and roller coasters!
I love ALL the rides, so I may not be the best to recommend rides.
It is helpful to download an app telling you line times as well as if it's cold when you visit, when rides may be shut down.
If you're an amusement park shopper, need to buy some Christmas gifts,
or just need some ideas on how to decorate your tree, there are plenty of
options here! From stores dedicated to everything Christmas, to a heated throughway filled with Christmas trees and ideas, to expensive gifts or furniture or woodworking. Most cute "old timey" gifts are here!

Those are the 5 must-see and things to do in Silver Dollar City but wait..
there's more! Here is a BONUS tips for your time at the Park
PARKING: Believe it or not, parking is FREE. You can choose to pay for “preferred” parking if you’d like to park closer, but there's trams and bus options that shuttle you from lots to the park and back. A lot of people like to walk their way in, but I like the tram. Even though it's cold air blowing on your face, it adds to the amusement park experience! Walking there it is a bit uphill, but hey, on the way back it's more downhill!

I highly recommend coming to SDC during Christmastime at least once. It's a bucket list item and I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
