MSCA funding for PhD students is offered within university partnerships called Innovative Training Networks (ITN) or COFUND schemes. They are part of the European Commission’s Horizon 2020 research funding scheme and are the main EU programme for doctoral training. Approximately 25,000 PhDs are being funded under this scheme. Innovative Training Networks (ITN) drive scientific excellence and innovation. They bring together universities, research institutes and other sectors from across the world to train researchers to doctorate level.
