Storing A Car For Winter: The 2 Main Things To Do
Storing your vehicle for the winter doesn't need to be complicated. I've been doing the same thing with the MR2 for almost 15 years and haven't had any problems. Some of the things you hear people talk about aren't actually a big deal in the real world. As long as you choose a proper location to store your vehicle, it should be as simple as doing these 2 main things:
1. Pull the battery and/or keep it charged up
2. Fill the tank with gas and add fuel stabilizer
That's it. There are other minor things you can do as well, like cracking your windows, leaving your e-brake off, over-inflating your tires and giving it a good bath. Will your car start and drive in the spring if you skip those? Probably. It doesn't hurt to put a little extra effort in though.
