RTX 4070 Super | Cyberpunk 2077 | 7800x3d @1440p...The GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER is a high-end graphics card by NVIDIA, launched on January 8th, 2024. Built on the 5 nm process, and based on the AD104 graphics processor, in its AD104-350-A1 variant, the card supports DirectX 12 Ultimate. This ensures that all modern games will run on GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER.
The AD104 graphics processor is an average sized chip with a die area of 294 mm² and 35,800 million transistors. Unlike the fully unlocked GeForce RTX 4070 Ti, which uses the same GPU but has all 7680 shaders enabled, NVIDIA has disabled some shading units on the GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER to reach the product's target shader count. It features 7168 shading units, 224 texture mapping units, and 80 ROPs. Also included are 224 tensor cores which help improve the speed of machine learning applications.
The card also has 56 raytracing acceleration cores. NVIDIA has paired 12 GB GDDR6X memory with the GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER, which are connected using a 192-bit memory interface. The GPU is operating at a frequency of 1980 MHz, which can be boosted up to 2475 MHz, memory is running at 1313 MHz (21 Gbps effective).
⭐How much will the 4070 Super cost?⭐
The original card shipped with 12GB of VRAM, its 4K performance didn't quite match the RTX 3080, and overall, it didn't feel like a big generational leap. The RTX 4070 Super corrects most of those issues at the same $599 price point.
⭐RTX 4070 Super vs RTX 3070?⭐
The RTX 4070 Super is around 50 percent faster than the previous RTX 3070 in most games at 1440p and around 17 percent faster than the original RTX 4070. If you’re looking to step up to the RTX 4070 Ti, the gap has closed to less than 10 percent.
⭐RTX 4070 Super vs AMD?⭐
The RTX 4070 Super also leaves AMD’s previous-generation RX 6800 XT behind, a $649 GPU that has really held its own against the latest generation of cards. You’re also getting DLSS 3 with Nvidia’s RTX 4070 Super, which delivers 186fps on average for Forza Horizon 5 at extreme settings. That’s a 26 percent performance increase over the same benchmark without DLSS enabled.
