The expression "bien fait" in
The expression "bien fait" in French has two different meanings and you are most likely using one of them wrong. But don't worry, I will teach you what to say instead.
Many French learners translate bien fait as well done, which can be right sometimes but not always. In other cases, it actually means the total opposite of what you think it means. Bien fait when used as an expression of a consequence, means "to serve someone right".
