A short review and first
A short review and first impressions of the Asics Venture 8 GS including unboxing and running on muddy trails to test them out. Asics are a great brand so we were confident that they would be great before we even got them out of the box.
The Asics Venture 8 GS is a neutral shoe with a 10mm heel drop and although designed for trails, they were still comfortable and capable on hard surfaces (footpaths) too.
In summary: William said the shoes were comfortable and although we only ran around 3 miles for this test he didnt need to make any adjustments to the laces or fit at all, he just put them on, ran and loved them. He said he found them better than his previous trail shoes from Decathlon and that the Asics Venture 8 feels lighter, more grippy and 'boosts' him along better!
These trail running shoes look great, although it only took 2 minutes to get them covered in mud (which is how they will now always be!).
