Jasmine Rice is a floral fragrant, and long-grain rice popular in Asian cooking, especially in Thai cuisine. It is usually made with rice and water using the absorption method on the stovetop. This fragrant Jasmine Rice is widely used as a side dish with curries, stir-fries, and most Thai dishes or to make fried rice for lunch and dinner.
The cooking method shared here is one of the easy and best ways to cook Jasmine Rice on the stovetop using a pot. And it delivers perfectly soft, fluffier, and light rice every time. Ingredients:
1½ cup Jasmine Rice
2¼ cup Water

Recipe Notes:
1. Rinse your rice - This is the first and foremost basic step while preparing any kind of rice dish. Rinsing the rice helps to remove unwanted dust and debris from it and also helps to remove excessive amounts of starch
2. Use a good pot or saucepan -Always make sure to use the correct pot or saucepan that got a tight lid. It is really important especially when you are cooking rice using the absorption method on the stovetop. It helps to cook the rice evenly and seals the steam inside to make the cooking process effective
3. Rice Water Ratio - As I mentioned above I would recommend 1:1½ cups for serving along with curries. But if you are planning the rice for fried rice or one-pot meals then I suggest reducing it to 1:1¼ cups for al dente rice
4. Should you season with salt - I usually don't use salt to cook rice, as I serve it with curries and stir-fries that already have a good amount of salt. So it is completely your personal choice to season it with salt or skip
