This is the first episode resulting from the 2011 visit to Brazil. It allowed me to discover the riches of the Brazilian culture; the numerous contrasts of its people; and the fascinating love-hate relationship between Brazil and video games as well. It must be said that Brazil is a country that has received interactive entertainment enthusiastically from the very beginning. However, video games have been ignored by the industry and politically misunderstood until recently. Thanks to all the situations I experienced there what inspired me to start this adventure, which is focused on a main goal: to broaden the scope of The Gamer Inside, already considered an international project. Nevertheless, I realized that the creation of a more specific subseries, focused on stories which were strictly bound to Brazilian history and culture, was a fully worthy effort.
It is a pleasure to show you the pilot episode of this sub-series, after a stay of almost a month in Brazil interviewing more than 30 people. It is part of the memories' channel, in which the following interviewees show up:
