Foundation Half Double Crochet - How to

Hello and welcome to Rich Textures Crochet!

Today we are going to learn how to crochet a foundation half double crochet stitch.  This technique is handy when a pattern calls for a foundation chain followed by a row of half double crochet stitches.  In stead of working the foundation chain and then the row of half double crochet, you can work them both at the same time! No more working into tight starting chains!
