How To PRACTICE BASS Alone (Beginners)

Hey everyone - today we are going to work on some techniques when practicing bass guitar by yourself. It is always great to play with other musicians when you can - but we all know those moments aren't always available. So this little field guide can give you some ideas and tips to help you practice when you are stuck playin by yourself.

We will learn
1. Playing along to drum samples
2. Playing along to harmonic instrument samples
3. Playing along to videos and live recordings

And a 4th Bonus Tip that can give you a well rounded approach to being a bass player in a band or group.

These concepts might be simple but I find when explaining and showing these examples, students seem to unlock a certain approach they weren't aware of before. Playing along to a variety of different kinds of recorded sounds is a major hack to speeding up your bass learning. The more human and natural the recording, the more realistic your feel and approach will be.
