Colorado CNA | Skill 9 | Dresses Client with Affected (Weak) Right Arm

When a resident is very sick or disabled, they may have difficulties with dressing and undressing.  In these circumstances, the Nurse Aide will either dress the person or, at least, help them to get dressed. The Nurse Aide should always encourage the person to regain the maximum amount of independence, when possible, and the act of dressing is one step towards independence.

In this video, Lisa demonstrates the proper technique for dressing a resident with an affected (weak) right arm.
