Daisy 880 Air Rifle Issue. Help?

Maybe one of you knows what's going on here?

Sometimes the gun will release some pressure if you barely touch the trigger but then still has some pressure when you pull the trigger to propel the bb. Everything on the gun looks to be in good condition. The plunger in the pressure release valve looks to be in good condition and has no visible wear to it. Feels nice and smooth like it should.

Sometimes the air rifle shoots great. Other times it acts like it blows it load prematurely lol.
