This weekend, we have an incredible celestial event you won't want to miss! An asteroid named 2024 MK is set to make a close approach to Earth, and with the right equipment and timing, you might just spot it!
🔭 About 2024 MK:
Discovered just two weeks ago by a South African observatory.
Estimated to be between 393 and 853 feet wide.
Passing by Earth at three-quarters the distance to the moon.
🚀 Viewing Tips:
You'll need a small telescope since the asteroid isn't visible to the naked eye.
It will be moving quickly across the southern sky.
Best viewing for those in the Southern Hemisphere.
