Asia's Skin Whitening Bleaching Fascination

A  2003 report on the surge in skin whitening creams being sold in the Asia market. The report examines how white skin is becoming more popular amongst women and for some with terrible consequences. Counterfeit and cheap skin whitening creams have made their way into the market containing dangerous lead levels. The story also looks at the powerful advertising industry and how cosmetics giants are able to convince women that white skin is better for their social and love lives.
