Hairfall in females is a common problem and its cases are rising in last few years.
2 common causes of hairfall in females are -
Telogen effluvium
Female Pattered Baldness
Normal hair cycle has 85% hair in growing phase (Anagen), approx 10- 15 % in resting phase (telogen) and 1% in catagen phase
In Telogen Effluvium 60-70%of hairs enter in resting phase and they fall subsequently.
Various causes are described for Telogen Effluvium
Treatment at the earliest is very essential. Minimum of
3-6 months might be required to treat such cases.
