Today, we're looking into an incredible case that took place back in March 2015 that had since been dubbed 'The Gone Girl Case'
On the 23rd March in Vallejo, California, Aaron Quinn called 911 to report that his girlfriend, Denise Huskins, had been kidnapped the previous night.
Aaron told police that during the kidnapping, both he and Denise had been restrained with zip ties, blindfolded with taped up swim goggles and had headphones placed over their ears that played relaxing music.
Vallejo police were instantly suspicious of his story and formed their own theory that Aaron had murdered Denise and come up with this far-fetched story of her being kidnapped to try and cover it up.
But when Denise turned up two days later completely unharmed, having been dropped off down the street from her mother's house, they instead told the media that Denise and Aaron had hoaxed the kidnapping.
