This is a quick tip to find out what version of Windows is installed, including the version number.
To find out the type of version installed:
Press (and hold) the Windows key, while holding press the letter E.
Then right click in the Window that appears (not on an icon), and choose properties.
To find out the version number installed:
Press the Windows key to bring up the start menu, then type: winver this will then display a Window containing the version number installed.
