वह अपने पसीने बेचकर
तुम्हें हर खुशी से नवाजे गा
खुद की जिंदगी बेरंग करके
तुम्हारे जीवन में हर रंग घोलेगा
वो पिता है, कभी कुछ नहीं बोलेगा

जब भी कुछ लेने की जिद करोगे
क्या चाहिए बेटा? बस एक बार पूछेगा
तुम्हारी एक मुस्कान के लिए वो
अपनी हार मेहनत की कीमत को तोलेगा
वो पिता है, कभी कुछ नहीं बोलेगा

तुम्हे रेनकोट पहनाके वो
खुद बारिश में भीगेगा
तुम्हे पलंग पे सुलाके वो
खुद ठंडी ज़मीन पे सोलेगा
वो पिता है, कभी कुछ नहीं बोलेगा


खुद को ऐसे दिखता है जैसे
उसे किसी भी चीज की जरूरत नहीं
पर तुम्हारी तकदीर संवारने के लिए
वो अपने हाथो कि लकीरों को धोलेगा
वो पिता है, कभी कुछ नहीं बोलेगा


समझौता करना क्या होता है, उस से पूछो
हजार टेंशन में भी मुस्कुराना, उस से पूछो
बस घर में किसी को चिंता ना हो, इसलिए
अपने मन के राज कभी ना खोलेगा
वो पिता है, कभी कुछ नहीं बोलेगा


हम बड़े हो जाने से समझदार हो जाते है
उस इंसान से कोई गलती हो जाए तो जोर से डांट ते है
भूल जाते है हम की इसने हमारे लिए क्या किया
किसी से ठीक से बात ना करे तो शरमाते है

एक बात याद रखना, तकलीफ उसे भी होती है
दिल उसका भी दुखता है
बस तुम्हे बुरा ना लगे
इसलिए बंद कमरे में अकेले वो चुपचाप रोलेगा
वो पिता है, कभी कुछ नहीं बोलेगा
