Murukku is a savoury, crunchy Indian snack. The snack originated in the Tamil Nadu state, and its name derives from the Tamil word for "twisted".

INGREDIENTS:

Corn meal flour 1 cup
Rice flour(less than ½ cup)      2 tbs
Cumin seeds        ½ tsp
Sesame seeds 2 tbs
Carom seeds     ½ tsp
Red chilly powder 1 tsp
Salt To taste
Butter 1 tsp
Oil  To fry

METHOD:

1. Take a bowl, add cornmeal flour, rice flour, cumin seeds, sesame seeds, carom seeds, red chilly powder, salt mix it.

2. Add butter, hot oil and mix nicely using water.

3. Make dumpling and place in 3 hole murukku mould and press it hot oil.

4. Deep fry and transfer into plate.

5. Now cornmeal flour murukku are ready to serve.
