This method allows you to select a lot of options for the RDP connection. When you save these settings you get a .rpd file that you can use on your computer or other computers. 2. Create a new windows Shortcut (for your computer) Right click on your windows desktop and select 'New' then select 'Shortcut' then enter mstsc /v: and also enter the IP for your Remote Desktop Server or the Domain for your server, Click Next, Give it a name and click save. This shortcut may not work on other computers. It also has a lot less options.
