Hello everyone and welcome back to our channel placement interview and Im here to give to some of the tips to apply for any job profile
1 Google Careers - Go to Google Careers and search for the specific job you want to apply for Remember to filter as much as possible right now theres 2500 software engineering jobs available but looks are deceiving How many of those are already filled How many of those are not based in the country you want to work in How many of those software engineering roles specifically suit your skills and experiences Taking factors like these into account there will be a select few positions youd hone in on
2 Referrals- As is with any company having referrals from current fulltimers will always help in getting interviews If you cant get an internal referral track down an employee who might be interested in a specific skill you possess If they think youre a good fit for their team theyll connect you with an appropriate recruiter Conference websites Forums LinkedIn profiles blog posts Twitter feeds Facebook posts even Instagram photos are all good places to search
3 BE NOTICEABLE- Theres literally 1999 million other applicants who are just as smartaccomplished as you So how do you stand out So many ways
Create your own website write or create content to increase your visibility in search engines comment and write about events relevant to your fields of interest engage anyall users one of them might even be a recruiter and make it easy to funnel your online presence to your online websiteportfolio This leads me to my next point
Show your Technical Abilities Upload your personal projects on GitHub Kaggle Codepenio etc Summarize your technical internshipwork experiences in 23 bullet points in your CV
Your school and GPA are important but your personal projects and work experience will put you over the top
When recruiters screen potential Googlers they look at 1 how much impact did the project have on your community 2 Was it used by others was it useful enough that other peopleIn other words your project should be truly unique have alot of effort invested into it showcase your technical knowledge and be valuable enough for others to use it Creating a generic Chess AI or Stock Market Prediction model may not be enough
