In this video I experiment with using generative AI to make my own sound effects. Specifically, I use Stable Audio https://mrc.fm/stableaudio which is trained on over 800,000 audio samples. You can start completely FREE with the Free plan giving you 20 monthly tracks up to 45 sec each. Commercial usage is not included so make sure to check the licensing terms! This generative AI Sound effect maker honestly blew me away with the number of possibilities.
I try generating a few common sound effects like radio frequency sounds, computer beeps, and sci-fi laser blasts. While the results aren't perfect right away, with a little editing in Adobe Audition I'm able to layer and process the AI-generated sounds into something fairly decent.
With some good audio editing knowledge you could easily create whole libraries and potentially sell them on.
The possibilities here are endless - this could be an exciting tool for sound designers, Foley artists, YouTube content creators and more. Let me know if you try it out!
