SYND 18 6 78 PRIME MINSTER DESAI PRESS CONFERENCE ON US RELATIONS

(17 Jun 1978) Indian Prime Minister Morarji Desai says that the one outstanding issue between the United States and India is US-supplied enriched uranium for his country. He says he had made it clear to US President Jimmy Carter and other American officials that the United States should stick to its contract to supply the fuel for the US-built atomic power plant in Tarapur, near Bombay.
