Why the next two years are crucial for climate action

Every day, we are witnessing more frequent and devastating climate change impacts around the world. Droughts. Floods. Extreme heat.

But there is still time to turn things around. Our best opportunity to limit these impacts and keep warming below 1.5°C is over the next two years. In 2025, countries have to submit the third generation of Nationally Determined Contributions. We must do all we can to ensure these are as ambitious as possible.

At UNDP we are committed to doing all we can. UNDP’s Climate Promise 2025 will continue to work with countries around the world to define their national climate action priorities to support a net zero, resilient, and inclusive future.
