This is ‘Kongnamul bulgogi (Bean Sprout Bulgogi)’ that is easy to make at home!
It’s a totally cost-effective meal to serve to guests
The more bean sprouts you put in, the better~

Kongnamul bulgogi (4 servings)


[Ingredients]

*Sauce

4 tbsp (40g) thick soy sauce
4 tbsp (40g) cooking wine
2.3 tbsp (28g) brown sugar
2 tbsp (18g) coarse red pepper flakes
2.8 tbsp (56g) red pepper paste
1.8 tbsp (36g) minced garlic
0.5 tbsp (2.5g) whole sesame seeds

*Main ingredients

280g thin pork belly
300g bean sprouts
1.5 stalks (120g) green onion
0.6 (150g) onion
1 (10g) Cheongyang pepper
4 (8g) perilla leaves
Sauce
A little bit of ground sesame with salt


[Instructions]

1. Rinse bean sprouts and place in strainer to drain.
2. Prepare a bowl and add thick soy sauce, cooking wine, brown sugar, coarse red pepper flakes, red pepper paste, and minced garlic, and mix to create sauce.
3. Slice onion into 0.5cm-thick pieces.
4. Halve green onions and cut into 5cm-long pieces.
5. Slice Cheongyang pepper, and halve perilla leaves vertically before slicing into 1cm-thick pieces. Be sure to separate the pieces.
6. In a wide and low frying pan, place bean sprouts as the base and place thin pork belly on top.
7. On top of the thin pork belly, place green onion, onion, Cheongyang pepper, and perilla leaves.
8. Pour sauce all around the prepared ingredients.
9. Sprinkle a little bit of ground sesame with salt to finish.
10. Place prepared Kongnamul bulgogi on gas burner and wait until water sweats out into the pan.
11. Once vegetables start sweating, mix ingredients and cook until ready.
