In a US archive, we've found these colourized pictures of Berlin from approx. 1890. Direct scans from the originals have enabled these brilliant images. The pictures, some of which were unknown until now, have been edited as video with city sounds from the past.
We see the Reichstag and the Berlin Victory Column at its former location*, the Brandenburg Gate, Unter den Linden (corner Friedrichstraße), the Humboldt University, the Neue Wache, the Zeughaus, the Kronprinzenpalais, the Alte Museum, the Stadtschloss (!), The Begasbrunnen, the Emperor Wilhelm I. monument, the stock market, the Gendarmenmarkt, the Hallesche Tor, the Potsdamer Platz and the Memorial Church on the Kurfürstendamm.
From Potsdam we see the castle Babelsberg, the Belvedere and the castle Sanssouci.

*The Berlin Victory Column originally stood in Königsplatz (now Platz der Republik), at the end of the Siegesallee (Victory Avenue). In 1939, as part of the preparation of the monumental plans to redesign Berlin into Welthauptstadt Germania, the Nazis relocated the column to its present site at the Großer Stern (Great Star), a large intersection on the city axis that leads from the former Berliner Stadtschloss (Berlin City Palace) through the Brandenburg Gate to the western parts of the city.
