We are diving into Adobe After Effects! Where better to start than the absolute basics? For today's tutorial, we'll be going to be making a super dope, glowing lightsaber duel using Adobe After Effects. This effect is inspired by all the really cool Star Wars movie action scenes I would watch as a kid. Surprisingly, the vfx for doing lightsabers is really easy and fun to do, which is also what After Effects is all about. This effect is a perfect technique for beginners because it goes over compositing and VFX techniques that translate really well to a bunch of projects. From using 3rd party plugins to fixing glitches in AE. I've been using After Effects for almost 10 years as a VFX artist and the effect you'll learn in this video will show you methods I use time and time again. Whether you're new to the program, or just making sure you know the essentials of VFX in AE, you're going to want to stick around. Sit back, relax, and get ready. Because in this video, you'll learn about the UI, troubleshooting, features, and the must-know tips & techniques for starting After Effects!
