I Fished a unknown hardly talked about Marine area Full of King Salmon

What are your thoughts? Why shut It down. These are my home waters. I have spent many days out here this year and glad I finally filmed 3 days before it closed.
This announcement was a shock. This marine area never shuts down.
Maybe to many fish this year?
Maybe fishing was to good?
