Nervous sysetm 13, Consciousness

Consciousness is a mystery, we do not know how it is generated by electrical and chemical activity, in fact Im not even sure what it is. However, Im sure that my current consciousness is generated by the emergent properties of the electrical and chemical activity of my brain. The reason I believe this is because someone one switched it off for a while, with an general anaesthetic.
