By sadhana we mean following spiritual practices. Worship, charity, simplicity, pilgrimage, company of the good (satsang) and being with those who have a pure heart are some of the practices that purify our mind enabling us to progress on the spiritual path. In the spiritual context these are called ‘preparatory’ (Bahiranga) sadhanas. When Janudev and Satyavati get their son Pundalik married, their daughter-in-law and son come to live with them. However, her behaviour and the nature of Pundalik's in-laws lead to quarrels within the family. When Pundalik's parents decide to go on a pilgrimage, their daughter-in-law also follows them, desirous over the golden jewellery in their possession. One night, Pundalik sees the three sacred rivers -Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati in his dream. This not only changes the course of his life, but also earns him the special love of the Lord. How?
