SSS Clutch engagement during high speed rotation

This video of a dynamic SSS Clutch model, an overrunning clutch design, shows the main torque transmitting teeth of an SSS Clutch moving in and out of engagement whilst rotating at high speeds.

The model demonstrates how an SSS Clutch functions within a single shaft combined cycle gas turbine (SSCCGT) power plant.  The red component (SSS Clutch input) would be connected to a steam turbine, whereas the green (SSS Clutch output) would be connected to the gas turbine / generator side.

Several hundred SSS Clutches are installed within SSCCGT power plants e.g. Enfield, Kings Lynn, Cartagena, Tapada, Taranaki, Irsching, Palos de la Frontera, Huntstown, Voghera etc..  SSS Clutches are specified in the SSCCGT reference plants of Siemens, Alstom, MHI and Ansaldo.
