What are the main AdLock features?
Traffic management
The Traffic window already shows me more nuanced parts of AdLock. This page allows me to manually set up filtering in each app. Notably, it doesn’t only suggest browsers, AdLock even asked me if I want ad blocking for my Discord and a few other apps, which is a rare setting even for the best ad blocker options!
System-wide protection
This Anti-tracking toggle is enabled from the start and for a good reason: trackers actively look up your activity online and collect your personally identifiable data to pass it to advertisers. It makes sense to use Anti-tracking to filter them out.
Safebrowsing:
It is a little more nuanced. It says here that it protects you from phishing, scammers, and malicious attacks, but it’s a bit vague. I want to clarify that AdLock simply has access to the database of reportedly malicious pages, phishing websites, and scamming links, and if you try to click on any of those - it will stop you, and notify you of the danger.
Protection statistics:
Each time you run into a tracker or a malicious link, the Protection statistics menu right here will show you what kind of threat you have encountered.
