How to Make a Cell Mandatory Before Closing Excel Workbook
In this Advanced Excel Tutorial, I’ll demonstrate how you can make a particular cell mandatory before closing your workbook. You’ll be able to save your workbook but you can’t close it. I’ll be using excel vba for this demonstration. Let’s follow the steps below to make a cell entry mandatory in excel.
Step 1: Click on the developer tab (If you don't have the developer tab on your ribbon, please check this tutorial: https://msexceltutorial.com/post/How-...)
Step 2: Now click on "Visual Basics."
Step 3: Select "This Workbook”
Step 4: Compose the code (Check this link to get the code: Patreon: 63779224 )
Step 5: Close the VBE
Now you won’t be able to close your workbook without entering value to that particular cell.
Remember you’ll need to save the workbook in xlsm format if you wish to use it in the future. Also its wise the check this video on Macro security: Macro Security - Excel VBA Programmin... so that you won’t need to click on enable content button for your vba projects.
