A stingray in the US has become pregnant without a male companion. Staff at a North Carolina aquarium could not believe the ultrasound results, after a round stingray, called Charlotte, hadn’t shared a tank with a male in more than eight years. She is now expected to have up to four pups in a matter of weeks.
