Since 2008, MSF has been providing comprehensive care for survivors of sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) in the Eastlands area of Nairobi, Kenya.

Alongside supporting four government healthcare centres, MSF currently runs a dedicated clinic offering specialised SGBV services, called Lavender House.

With limited access to local SGBV care, Lavender House treats patients from the entire Eastlands area and parts of greater Nairobi county.

The clinic offers medical and mental health care, including a 24-hour toll-free emergency hotline, ambulances to pick up or refer patients, and a community mobilisation team to raise awareness and link people with vital services.

Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international, independent, medical humanitarian organisation that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural disasters and exclusion from healthcare.
