INGREDIENTS:
¾ cup raw whole green moong beans
2 cups water for cooking the
moong beans
+ 1 cup water for adding to the dal
2 tbsp cooking oil
6-7 curry leaves
Paste of 1 inch ginger (peeled)
+ 3-4 cloves of garlic (peeled)
1 medium sized onion chopped
2 small sized tomatoes or
1 large sized tomato chopped
¼ tsp mustard seeds
¼ tsp cumin seeds
¼ tsp turmeric powder
1 ½ tsp red chilli powder
½ tsp cumin powder
½ tsp coriander powder
A generous pinch of asafoetida
1 tsp salt or as per taste
