Shot of Herbert George Wells and Mr Doubleday sitting in a garden talking. Doubleday asks Wells for his views on the current depression and economic crisis. Wells outlines his views about problems caused by increased productivity and the failure of the credit system. He suggests disarmament as one solution, world action on currencies and public employment to solve unemployment.



N.B. As well as a famous author Wells was a member of the Fabian Society and social thinker.
