Endothermic Reaction

Endothermic reactions are relatively uncommon, and require an increase in entropy in order to be spontaneous.  Solid-solid reactions are also relatively uncommon.  Here we mix barium hydroxide and ammonium nitrate to form a mixture cold enough to freeze a piece of cardboard to the flask.
