Who is Imam Hossein? What is Muharram?
Imam Hossein is the 3rd Imam of shiaa muslims and the son of Imam Ali the first Imam and the Child of Mohammad the prophet of muslims. Imam hossain was unjustly martyred in the Desert of karbala in Iraq country. His enemies were saying that He was not muslim and He was unbeliever while his father and Grandfather and his mother were the first 3 muslim in the World and They themselves were the origin of Islam. It is strange that those who themselves introduced Islam to the people were now accused of not being Muslims. Imam Hussain's enemies wanted to kill him with this accusation. He decided to go to kufah because its people invited him and his families. But they betrayed.
They surrounded Imam Hussain and his children, who were not more than 72 people, with an army of several thousand people in Karbala, and prevented them from drinking water at noon of a very hot summer, and brutally killed the men and the capture women and children. Imam Hussain's enemies even killed his six-month-old child who was dying of thirst. We bellive that Imam hossain standing againts Oppression, injustice and deception is a manifestation of courage and The consciousness of humanity.
Yazd is to hold many special religious rituals. Yazd has long been a destination of many domestic and foreign tourists during the (lunar) months of Muharram and Safar when many rituals and special mourning ceremonies were being performed by local citizens. This Moharram (mohrram in 1444-2022) in Yazd we have specian poems, we say in persian moharram Noha. moharram poems (noha) are usually about Imam Hossain and his Families and felows. Another Name of moharram Noha is Moharram Marsiya. Elegy or marsya is a passionate expression of grief, often in the form of music, poetry or song and is for mourning. Yazd moharram noha and marsiya is very special on iran as far as yazd become a destination for spiritual tourism of muharram Ceremonies. moharram noha and marsiya become more special for Imam Hossain the night before Tasua(or tasooa), Tasua(or tasooa) morning, Tasua(or tasooa) noon and night. ceremonies, noha, marsiya, poems and mournings reaches its peak Ashura (or ashoora), people crying for imam hossain.
یزد دارای بسیاری از آیین های مذهبی ویژه است. یزد از دیرباز مقصد بسیاری از گردشگران داخلی و خارجی در ماه‌های محرم و صفر بوده است که آیین‌ها و مراسم خاص عزاداری توسط شهروندان محلی برگزار می‌شود. این محرم (محرم سال 2022-1444) در یزد شعرهای خاص داریم که به آن ها نوحه می گوییم. اشعار محرم (نوحه) معمولاً درباره امام حسین و خاندان و یارانش است. نام دیگر نوحه محرم مرثیه است. مرثیه بیان پرشور غم و اندوه است که اغلب به صورت موسیقی، شعر یا آهنگ و برای سوگواری است. محرم نوحه و مرثیه یزد در ایران بسیار خاص است تا جایی که یزد به مقصد گردشگری معنوی مراسم محرم تبدیل شده است. نوحه محرم و مرثیه شب قبل از تاسوعا، صبح تاسوعا، ظهر و شب تاسوعا و ظهر عاشورا برای امام حسین خاص تر می شود. در ظهر عاشورا مراسم، نوحه، مرثیه، اشعار و مرثیه ها به اوج خود می رسد، مردم برای امام حسین (ع) گریه می کنند.
