RS 200 Top Tips: Tuning

This video gives you a run through how to measure your RS 200 rig settings. The RS 200 rig is very simple to use but for those that love numbers, you can get very particular. I for one do not get that bogged down in numbers as would only adjust my shrouds to change the mast rake between crews and the wind strength. The rig settings shown in the video are also available on the RS 200 Class Website if you want to have a better look at those figures. We will also look at collecting data again this year to see if there have been any changes. All of the methods shown to measure the settings will be the same across all RS 200's but there are differences in the equipment used. For example, the spreader adjusters come in three configurations: the ones in the video (screw), screw adjusters with thumb grooves and brackets.
