Here is a video on a couple testing procedures and tricks you can use when testing for a bad spark plug wires or even an ignition coil or distributor. A bad spark plug wire that is arcing to a different engine component could be a cause of your engine's misfire, and sometimes they are hard to find but if you follow the instructions in this video you'll be able to effectively diagnose problems with your wires and other components of your ignition system (ignition coil pack, distributor, spark plugs etc).
