Indianapolis Monumental Marathon 2018

My running buddy and I take on the Indianapolis #MonumentalMarathon with a plan of running with the 3:25 pace group for as long as possible and adjusting somewhere around the 19 mile mark. The day didn't quite go as we had hoped, so while we had 23 strong miles, my running buddy eventually dropped off the pace and sent me on without him.

I finished at 3:21:53, with a negative split of 1:41:54 for the first half and 1:39:59 for the second half. My running buddy came in at 3:39:16, which was far off of what we had hoped for, but ultimately not that far from his PR from last year. We will be reloading soon and making plans for another marathon. I'll discuss more in tomorrow's video.
