Arashiyama, located in the tranquil outskirts of western Kyoto, nestles at the foot of the scenic 'Storm Mountains.' Just a 30-minute trip from downtown Kyoto, this enchanting area is a must-visit destination, renowned for its exquisite fusion of natural beauty and historic sites. Normally 1 day should be allocated to explore Arashiyama.

We are traveling by train to Saga Torokko (Tou Lou Kou) Station. From there, all the attractions in the Arashiyama area are within walking distance. It is said that Arashiyama has over 15 attractions, and today we are going to explore four of the most popular ones.
