Usually we feed our lovebirds
Usually we feed our lovebirds a mixture of seeds and nuts that we mix ourselves, and also vegetables. This time we tried to feed these lovebirds, Vitakraft African for Small Parrot. Bird food that has been formulated in such a way by one of the well-known brands in Europe. Vitakraft Small Parrot is one of the bird food brands from Vitakraft, a company known for its products for pets. This food is specifically designed for the nutritional needs of small parrots such as Lovebirds, Parrotlets and other types of small parrots. We bought this product ourselves with our money, we are not sponsored.
In this package I get a fairly varied mixture of seeds and grains. As far as I remember, there was white millet, red millet, black millet, rice grain, black sunflower seeds, niger seeds, a few oat seeds without skin, a little buckwheat, there were maybe linseeds, there were also canary seeds. Meanwhile, there are slices of banana and also dates. And some are shaped like pellets, maybe they are some kind of egg food? I didn't read all the ingredients on this package.
This product has a strong smell, and it seems to smell like dates, and also a little banana smell. Previously I never thought that lovebirds could be fed dates. That's something new for us, and it's quite exciting, because here in Indonesia... There are so many dates. Although of course, the lovebirds at my place are not used to eating dates, which can be seen in this video, the lovebirds are not interested in dates at all. For three days we recorded and monitored these lovebirds, at the end we saw of course that the last remaining ones were dates and a few bananas. But maybe this will be different if the lovebirds are used to being fed dates.
In my opinion, this product is okay.
