This Japanese Beef Bowl is
This Japanese Beef Bowl is inspired by Yoshinoya's Gyudon. My friends and I love to eat this dish when we used to live in Singapore. This is a very simple dish to make. Follow along and make your own version.
Ingredients:
1 lb sirloin beef
1 whole onion
5 cloves garlic
3 Tbsp brown sugar
1/4 tsp salt
4 Tbsp Soy sauce
4 Tbsp Mirin
4 Tbsp Sake
1 Tbsp Oyster sauce
1 cup water
1 Tbsp oil
1. Thinly slice the beef.
2. Make marinate by combining sugar, salt, soy sauce, Mirin, Sake and Oyster sauce. Pour marinate to beef. Sit for 30 minutes.
3. Saute garlic in a saucepan. Add marinated beef. Add water.
4. Simmer until water is reduce to about half.
5. Serve on top of rice.
