Private school scholarships around Melbourne, Sydney, Perth and Brisbane are highly sought after but to get a high school scholarship often involves a number of steps. One of the major steps is the private school scholarship exam which depending on the test provider (ACER, Edutest or Academic Assessment Services) involves reasoning (abstract, verbal, numerical), mathematics, reading and one of the hardest (in my opinion) – writing. In written expression, students are given a set time frame (usually 20 minutes for Year 7 entry and 15 minutes for Year 9 entry) and during this time, they’re required to write a piece that relates to a given prompt.
The piece doesn’t just need to be well written, it needs to be a step-above your competition to help you gain those extra points towards getting a scholarship.
